Briefly, my design and evaluation of targeted interventions aimed at improving physical activity participation by children was based on an in-depth literature review, qualitative interviews with key stakeholders and field-testing of selected interventions in different contexts. The study highlighted some significant challenges and limitations of current physical activity interventions in children, particularly for interventions that target adolescents.
